I didn’t have any issues whatsoever the first week after my ablation – not even a single heart palpitation. My insertion holes have already healed and I didn’t suffer any soreness, bruising, or anything with those.
I did wash my car this week and I cleaned out the garage but I did these things very slowly as not to be too active. I probably shouldn’t have done either one the first week after the ablation but I was feeling great and the weather was awesome.
I also started the supplement regimen outlined below in an effort to heal the inflammation in my heart and body as quickly as possible (and to prevent any afib or heart palpitations). I was taking most of these prior to my ablation. The beta-sitosterol and curcumin are the only two new ones in the lineup.
Once I can go off Eliquis, which will hopefully be in June, I will be upping my total fish oil to 4-5g per day. Right now I’m only taking 2g per day. I will also start taking vitamin E at that point.
I am not a doctor and what I’m taking might not even be smart so do your own research and talk to your doctor before attempting to take any of these!
*The following supplements are taken in 3 divided doses – at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I also try to get at least 300mg of potassium with each meal. I achieve that by drinking or eating one of the following at each meal (but not always – it depends how much I eat at each meal):
- 6 ounces of orange juice (338mg of potassium)
- 6 ounces of low-sodium V8 (675mg of potassium)
- 1 medium banana (422mg of potassium)
If there are any changes to my supplementation I’ll note it in future updates but this is what I’m going with so far.
