This past week has been great! Absolutely no issues to report with my heart or my overall health. My heart rate continues to beat in the 80’s – more than 30 beats per minute more than what my heart rate was prior to my ablation (52 beats per minute) but that’s o.k. I don’t even notice a difference and I know it will eventually come down over time. My weight is stable at 175 pounds and I haven’t changed anything […]

Another perfect week as I didn’t have a single heart palpitation or any symptoms from the ablation whatsoever. There have been no changes in my supplementation other than I took Natural Calm Magnesium occasionally in place of the ReMag magnesium. I still maintained around 750mg of magnesium per day. I also had an appointment with a naturopathic doctor this past week to have an EXAtest done. I’m looking forward to the results because I’ll finally know what my electrolyte levels […]

I only slept for about an hour the night prior to the procedure. It wasn’t so much that I was nervous, I was just anxious to get the ablation over with. We arrived at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. sharp. I should point out that the day before the procedure I went to the hospital to do all the pre-op paperwork and blood work. They like to have all that done the day before the procedure. You just sign some […]

The picture of this poor high school kid collapsed as he literally crawled past the finish line during a cross country meet symbolizes my own crossing of the “ablation finish line.” While my finish might not have been as dramatic as this kid’s finish, I wasn’t exactly running through the finish line with my arms raised in victory! The “Sick Scare” It all started three weeks before my ablation. My daughter came down with the flu. She was vomiting on […]
